Alpha E. Radford

Alpha E. Radford of Floyd, born August 18, 1912, went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2011. She was retired from Duplex Envelope Co. in Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Radford and Josephine Peters Radford, three sisters and husbands, Gladys and Nelson Ingram, Erma and Bill Leigh, and Verna Gillispie, one brother, Elton Radford and wife Anna Bell Cannaday, two grandchildren, William Larry Spangler and Kimberly Ann Spangler, son-in-law, William “Bill” Spangler.

Left to cherish her memory Daughter, Margaret Ann Spangler, Grandsons, Roger D. Spangler, Daniel M. Spangler & wife Heather, Granddaughter, Gennell M. Vest & husband Tim, Great-Grandchildren, Charity Vest Nolen & husband Mitchell, Jessica, Elijah, Levi, Josiah and Jude Spangler, Brother-in-Law, Ezra Gillispie.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 17, 2011 at Jacksonville Cemetery with Pastor Stephen Lackey officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. at Maberry Funeral Home prior to the service.
