Mary Sue Lemons

Mary Sue Lemons, of Floyd, passed away on Monday August 22, 2011 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born May 29th to Elizabeth Turner Clark and Charlie Conner. She worked as a public health nurse and was owner of Mary’s Restaurant.

Survivors include Sons, Irvin C. and Sherrie Lemons, Roanoke, VA, Robert H. and Barbara Lemons, Savage, MD, Kevin N. Lemons, Johnson City, TN. Daughters, Donna L. Sweeney, Floyd, VA, Kimberly Saunders-Young & Chris Mayweathers, Thomasville, NC, Tamara Lemons, Floyd, VA, Tiffany Lemons & Michael Scott, Christiansburg, VA, Linda Shelton-Srygley, Hilton Head, SC, Brenda Via, Floyd, VA. Brother William C. & Margaret Turner. Special Sister Constance Hayden (Bill). 16 Grandchildren, 10 Great- Grandchildren. Devoted Caregiver Betsy Hicks. Special Cousins, Pat Price, and Mary Anne Beaver.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday August 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Maberry Funeral Home with Pastor David A. Powell presiding. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Special thanks to all who were there for help and support during this difficult time, especially Carilion Clinic in Floyd, Carilion Hospice, and the Floyd County Rescue Squad.
