
Lafone Pettry Moles
Lafone Pettry Moles, 77, “Momaw”, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 18, 1933 in Edwight, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Elpha Clay Pettry. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael and her sister, Ruth Ann Dalton.
Lafone was retired from Floyd Garment Co. After retirement she worked part time for the Floyd County Sherriff’s Department.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Harlis Moles, Floyd, VA; Daughters and Son-in-law, Janie and Jimmy Spence, Willis, VA, and Joyce Howery and special friend Mike Nolen, Floyd, VA; Son, Charles Moles and special friend Dawn Thompson, Max Meadows, VA; Brother and Sister-in-law, Jimmy and Brenda Pettry of Potomac, MD; Grandchildren, Jason Howery and Nicole Lawson, Gretchen and Tommy Gleim, Neeley and Philip Russell; Great Grandchildren, Jeffrey Howery, Mason Howery, and Sophia Russell; Brother and Sister-in-law, Alvin and Frances Moles, Meadows of Dan; Sisters-in-law, Margie Moles, Emma Mae Moles, and Glenna Mabery; Special Niece, Brenda Gallimore; and Her Special Poodle, Brittany; and many, many special friends.
Family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6th, 2010 at Maberry Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Dalton officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7th, 2010 at the Jacksonville Cemetery.
