Esker Lee Akers
Esker Lee Akers, 72 of Floyd, Va. passed away on July 14, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Esma Duncan Akers. Surviving are his daughters Joana(Jeff) Shelor, Carolyn Akers, and Glynda(Mark) Woollums. Sister Arlene(Merrell) Hedrick. Special friend and caretaker Gloria Alderman. A special aunt Lorraine (Loman) Smith, other aunts and uncles, and multiple nieces and nephews. Along with four grandchildren. And other caretakers Stacy Thompson and Kathy Beran. Funeral services will be held at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11am, the Reverend Clyde Bishop will be officiating. Interment will be at the Jacksonville Cemetery, family will receive friends at Maberry Funeral Home at 10am, prior to the service on Wednesday.
