James Wilbert Martin, Sr.

James Wilbert Martin, Sr., 76 of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mista Tolbert Martin, sister, Anna Dean Martin brothers, Talmadge Martin and Travis Martin.

He is survived by his daughter, Loketta Lambert & husband Brady of Martinsville; sons, James W. Martin, Jr. and wife Debbie of Winchester, Scotty Martin of Bassett, Steven Martin of Bassett; granddaughters, Hannah Dane Martin, Gracie Collins; grandson, Jack Collins; sisters & brothers-in-law, Winnie & Hugh Goad of Willis, Katie & C.C. Dalton of Hillsville; brother & sister-in-law, Furman & Bonnie Martin of Willis; sisters-in-law, Rita Martin, Mary Jo Martin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Angela Carr and Pastor Gary Hughes officiating. Interment to follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
