James Arnold Boothe, Jr.

James Arnold “Jimmy” Boothe, Jr., 54, of Willis, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2009. Jimmy was employed at Hollingsworth & Vose Company for 31 years and a member of the Floyd Moose Lodge #2300.

He was preceded in death by his Infant son Brian Lee Boothe; Father James A. Boothe, Sr.; Step father Giles Lee Rutrough; Brother Danny Boothe; and Special “Unk” George Coates.

Survived by Son Darin Wayne Boothe of Blacksburg; Mother Hazel Slusher Rutrough of Floyd; Brothers & Sisters-In-Law: Gary & Alisa Boothe of Floyd, David & Beverly Boothe of Vinton; Sister & Brother-In-Law:Brenda B. & Lynwood Allen of Floyd; Special Aunt Lilia Coates; Special Niece Jessica Allen Slusher; And other nieces & nephews; Special friend & son’s mother Susan Boothe Nunn; Special pet Sam; and Many friends.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 11, 2009 at the Slusher-Jones Cemetery with Rev. Roy Turpin & Rev. Angela Carr officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Saturday January 10, 2009 at Maberry Funeral Home.
