Thomas William Cunningham

Thomas William Cunningham, 58, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009.

He was married to his wife, Mary Jean Cunningham, for 12 wonderful years. He worked for VDOT for 27 years, until his retirement. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Elsie Cunningham.

He is survived by wife, Mary Jean Cunningham of Roanoke; Step Daughter, Pam Hensen of Salem; Sisters, Geneva Martin of Roanoke, and Linda Meredith and husband John of Shawsville; Step Grandchildren, Chad and Brandon Howard of Salem; Nephew, Don Cunningham and wife Michelle; Good friends, Roger Hodges and wife Phyllis, and Mike Hodges and wife Carol; and many other friends.

Special thanks to Medisis Hospice, Carilion Hospice Care, and all the other friends who helped out in any way.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger L. Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the Huffville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
