Christopher Paul Hairston

Christopher Paul Hairston, 35 of Floyd, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011. Chris was a Floyd County High School graduate, class of 1994. He worked at Federal Mogul in Blacksburg. He was a volunteer coach for 4th - 5th grade little league basketball and enjoyed all sports especially football. He was a devoted father to his children. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Hairston Fontaine; grandmother, Stella Mae Parker; special great-aunt, Sue Lee Helm.

Survivors include, fiancée, Joy L. Allard; children, Taylor Alexis-Janaé Hairston and Logan Christopher-Javion Hairston; sisters, Samantha Carroll Hill (Stephon) and Sarah E. Carroll; uncles, Darrell (Crystal) Parker, James Parker, Dwayne (Joyce) Hairston; a host of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 noon Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 12 noon prior to the service. Interment to follow at Little River Cemetery.
