Dorothy Arlene Janney Goad

Dorothy Arlene Janney Goad, 88 of Floyd, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother with a lot family and many friends. She was a devoted member at Laurel Branch Church of the Brethren. She is preceded in death by her parents Creed and Octavia Janney, husband Coy Princeton Goad Sr., many brothers and sisters, and one grandson.

Survived by Son & Daughter-in-Law Coy P. Jr. & Barbara Goad, Daughter & Son-in-Law Barbara & Roy E. Sowers, Granddaughters Donna & Andy Caldwell, Carolyn Goad, April & Tracy Sanders, Crystal Showalter, Amanda & Jackie Howell, 6 Great-Grandchildren, Brother James & Mary Janney, Sisters Ruth Poff, Beatrice Spreaker, Many Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Maberry Funeral Home with Pastor Angela Carr and Reverend Stanley Hawkins officiating. Interment to follow in Laurel Branch Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the funeral home.
