Gene Bradley Gillespie

Gene Bradley Gillespie, 66 of Floyd, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest & Ernestine Gillespie; and his brother, Russell Wavell Gillespie. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Air Force and was also a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian M. Gillespie; sons, Robert (Bobby) Gillespie, and Ernest (Ernie) Gillespie; daughter, Holly Graham; grandchildren, Ricky Gillespie, Conner Gillespie, Bradley Gillespie, Brandon Gillespie; brothers & sisters-in-law, Cecil & Ann Gillespie, Lloyd & Anna Lee Gillespie; brothers-in-law, Clinton Marshall, Clyde Marshall, Charles Marshall, Chester Marshall; sisters-in-law, Muriel Ratcliffe, and Lucille Jones; nine nieces; and 15 nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Whitey Taylor officiating. Interment to follow in the Cannaday Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the funeral home.
