Robert Lynnwood Allen

Robert Lynnwood Allen, age 75 of Floyd, VA, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Skyline Manor Nursing Home. He is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth L. Allen and parents, Frank Allen and Irene Allen.

He is survived by wife of 54 years, Roma Lee Allen and sister, Betty A. Smith of Roanoke; Several Nieces and nephews.

He was a brick mason for 45 years. He was with a partner, Harold H. Philpott of Roanoke for 35 years working in Floyd and Roanoke and all surrounding counties doing some custom work.

Joining Floyd Lodge 202 on September 10, 1953 held many offices in all branches of the order and has been secretary of Floyd Lodge for many years and still active.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elbert Lee Naff officiating. Interment will follow in the Radford Cemetery with Graveside Service by Floyd Lodge I.O.O.F. #202. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Maberry Funeral Home.
