Dovie Frances Gallimore Quesenberry

Dovie Frances Gallimore Quesenberry, 92 of Floyd, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil C. Quesenberry; cherished grandson, Brian William Quesenberry; parents, C.L. & Stella Gallimore; brothers and sisters, Cline, Leslie, Vinton, Arnie, Roxie, and Edith.

She is survived by her son, Billy & wife Brenda, Muscle Shoals, AL; daughter, Kaye and husband Tommy, Roanoke, VA; grandson, David and wife Kristy, Mosley, VA; great-grandchildren, Sawyer & Ella; special grandchildren, Tommy & wife Valerie, Mary Carroll and husband Tad, Juliet & husband Chris, and William; special great-grandchildren, Logan, Forrest, Emma, and Abby; sister, Isabel; brothers, Charles & wife Oneda, Roger & wife Erma Jean; several nieces and nephews; caregivers & companions, Judith & Jeff; her church family and many special friends.

Living for purposes unseen and greater than oneself came naturally to our mother, and prayer was always the language of her heart.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 419 Ridgeview Rd. NW, Floyd, VA 24091, with Pastor Marvin Wade, Pastor Hebron Quesenberry, and Pastor Richard Thomas officiating. Interment to follow in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the church.
