Elizabeth Phillips Sutphin

Our loving mother, Elizabeth Phillips Sutphin, age 97, of Indian Valley, VA., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 18, 2012.

She is preceded in death by her husband Woodrow W. Sutphin, Infant Son Darrell W. Sutphin, Son Buford A. Sutphin, Granddaughter Teresia S. Young, Grandson Brent Gerald, Great-Granddaughters Allison Turman and Breanna Peak, and Son-In-Law Glen Quesenberry.

She is survived by her children, Mozell S. Quesenberry, Aaron N. Sutphin (Betty), Glenna S. Cox (Joe), John W. Sutphin (Joyce), Kathryn S. Gerald (Fred), Vera S. Hall (Troy), and Katie S. Moore (Cecil); Grandchildren Donna & Charlie Smith, Randall & Priscilla Quesenberry, Trena & Jamie Stanley, Patsy & Rudy Turman, Marietta & Kenny Monahan, Anthony & Virginia Quesenberry, Lloyd & Vicky Sutphin, Larry (Moe) & Rhonda Sutphin, Michael & Jessie Lytton, Phillip & Myra Cox, Gary Cox, Greg & Melissa Cox, Kimberly Sutphin, Bridgette & Matt Tickle, John Freddie Gerald, Jr. & Lisa, Phaedra & Justin Lewis, Tara & Darrell Hollandsworth, Natasha Snare and Trey Moore; 30 Great-Grandchildren; 9 Great-Great Grandchildren, many special nieces and nephews and her special dog Ginger.

Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Indian Valley Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Poston and Rev. Joe Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012, at the church.
