Gordon Sindes Hubbard

Gordon Sindes Hubbard, 91, formerly of Meadows of Dan, died on Friday, October 2, 2009. He was born on October 7, 1917 to the late Sarah Bolt Hubbard and Simon H. Hubbard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Pratt Hubbard; three brothers, Elmer Hubbard, Ellis Hubbard, and Willie Hubbard; two sisters, Hattie Conner and Marie Dillon.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Brenda Hubbard of Meadows of Dan and Glen and Shirley Hubbard of Willis; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; Two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Meda McPeak of Floyd, Mary Largen of Vesta and Grace Falls of Montvale.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 2 pm at the Maberry Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating with the burial at the Jonathan Conner Cemetery in Meadows of Dan. Visitation will be on Sunday one hour prior to the funeral.
