Rodney Michael Reed
Rodney Michael “Rocket” Reed, 68, of the Topeco Community of Floyd, died suddenly on December 28, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas E. Reed. He is survived by his mother Twila Reed; brother Robert E. Reed (Debbie); sister Donna R. Johnson (Don); his wife and soul mate Sherry Hallman Reed; several nieces and nephews; three beloved beagle girls and two fine felines. He was a Vietnam War Air Force Veteran, and retired finish woodworker, a chef and salsa maker.
A celebration of his life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Floyd Co. Humane Society, P.O. Box 862, Floyd, VA 24091.
