Treva Belcher Underwood

Treva Belcher Underwood, 91 of Stuart, formerly of Meadows of Dan, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley & Ollie Boyd Belcher; husband, Buren Underwood; daughter, Dorothy Underwood; sisters, Audry Cockram, Gay Wood, Mae Agee, Eva Conner, LouAnnie Belcher; brothers, John Abe Belcher, Wesley Belcher.

She is survived by her children, Noel & Hilda Underwood of Willis, Nelva Underwood of Stuart, Reva U. Shough of Stuart; brother, Herbert Belcher of Meadows of Dan; sister-in-law, Verna Belcher of Floyd; grandchildren, Duane Underwood, Steve VanSutphin, Regina Massey, Angela Dulaney, Tammy Eames; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Slate Mountain Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Wesley Conner officiating. Interment to follow at Slate Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Slate Mountain Cemetery fund, c/o Nelene Wood, Treasurer, 2121 Lonesome Dove Drive, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
