Ronald (Ron) Norwood Lawrence, Sr.

Ronald (Ron) N. Lawrence, Sr, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 in Giles County in Virginia. He was 60 years old and a resident of Meadows of Dan, Virginia. Ron is survived by his fiancėe Leslie Shelor, son Ronald (Sonny) N. Lawrence, Jr. and his wife Bethany Lawrence, and his granddaughter Muriel Lawrence. Ron is also survived by his siblings, Donna Davis and husband Doran, sister-in-law Ann Lawrence, Billy Lawrence and wife Jeannette, Cathy Lawrence and husband Gerry Collins, Carol Chapman and husband Gary, Danny Lawrence and wife Kathy, and Patty Woodard and husband Freddy. Ron is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will take place in Floyd, VA on Friday, April 29, 2011, at Maberry Funeral Home, 367 South Locust St., Floyd, VA 24091. The viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, there will be a reception with light refreshments in Meadows of Dan, VA.

Dad loved his family and friends so much and he thought the world of his grandchild! He was loved by many and will be missed greatly. Anyone who truly knew him will never forget him.
