
Pauline Francis Whitlock Epperly
Mary Pauline Francis Whitlock Epperly, 90 of Floyd, entered Heaven’s gate on Saturday, November 10, 2012. She was born April 27, 1922 in Floyd, VA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde J. Epperly; her son, Kenneth Wayne Epperly; her parents, Jesse and Ellie Thomas Whitlock; and a sister, Kathleen Whitlock Smith.
Pauline joined New Haven Baptist Church at a young age and served faithfully as church pianist and Sunday school teacher for many years. Due to failing health she has made her home with her daughter Bonnie in Naples, Florida for the last few years. First Baptist Church of Naples graciously ministered to her needs through these last years.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Bonnie Epperly-Trudel and husband Rudy of Naples, FL; granddaughter, Wendy Epperly-Gilbert of Radford; two great-grandchildren, Tess and Alexandria Gilbert; two sisters, Arlene Owen of Charlottesville, Ethelene Hettie Allen of Roanoke; brother, J.J. Whitlock of Lexington, N.C.; and an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Jacksonville Cemetery with Pastor John Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends from 12- 1:30 p.m. at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel prior to the service.
