
Clarence Doyle
Clarence "Wade” Doyle, Jr. born on August 19, 1929 of Copper Hill, and formerly
of Salem, VA., ascended to his Heavenly Father on Saturday September, 8,2012 at home after a short illness. Wade was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Wade Sr. & Orabell Doyle his wife Lillian Owens Doyle, his sister Ethel Oliver and brother Raleigh Doyle. Left to cherish his memory is his sisters, Rachael Doyle and Izonia Foutz of Salem. Step daughter Ann burton, three grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Additional family members include Danny and Lois 'Sweetie' Newman of Copper Hill, Alisa and Carli Pritchett of Lexington, VA., and Danny, Amy and Alexis Newman of Charleston, WV. Also surviving is his 'furry best friend', Popcorn.
Wade served in the Army during the Korean War and retired from Hennis Freight Lines. Wade enjoyed the outdoors, auto racing and had a passion for hunting, fishing and gardening. He had the ability to make you laugh even when you didn't feel like smiling. He was a man of his word and was consistently enthusiastic about life and the beauty surrounding us. To know him, was to love him. Anyone who knew him would have been blessed to be a part of his life. Wade will be deeply missed but Heaven is now a brighter place. A memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice 2408 Electric Road Roanoke, VA 24018.
