Nora Sue James Spangler

Nora Sue James Spangler, 61 of Floyd, passed away December 31, 2011 after a courageous fight with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Spangler. Survivors include father and mother, Billy and Mary Anne James; sister Dianne Dinan and husband John; daughters and sons-in-law, Karie and Brandon Wade, & Katie and Eric Holfield; step-sons George Spangler and special friend Michelle

Ouellette, & Brian and wife Melissa Spangler; Grandchildren, Karleigh Wade, Preslie Holfield, Heather, Liz, and Camden Spangler, Great-Grandchild Nigel and her loving & faithful companion dog Rocky.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Floyd United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Turpin & Rev. Gene Koger officiating. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Floyd County Humane Society P.O. Box 862, Floyd, VA 24091. The family wishes to thank everyone for their visits, cards, food and most of all their thoughts and prayers the past few months. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Carilion Hospice NRV; their team of nurses and Dr. McCoy.
