Ramona Mitchell Hollandsworth

Ramona Mitchell Hollandsworth passed away peacefully at her home in Forest, VA on July 5, 2012 after a long bout with cancer. She was 73 years old. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; Elmer & Bernice Phillips Mitchell, sister Eunice Cox, and brother Delmas Mitchell.

She leaves a loving family: husband Jerry; son Jeffrey and his wife Kathy and their children Christopher, Jennifer, Landon and Mason; daughter, Susan and her husband Paul Adams; daughter Terri and her husband John Rutherford and sons Jody and Justin; daughter Janet and her husband Mark Means and their daughter Kari and son Travis; Daughter Brenda and her husband John and their daughter Jessica; son David and his wife Angela and daughters Chelsey and Briana. She is survived by two sisters, Patsy Marshall and Glenda Meador, Many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

Ramona was an avid lover and collector of music. She was known as Mrs. Neat & Clean by all her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by all. The family will receive friends at Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd, VA on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 1-3 p.m. with Funeral Services to be held at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Joe Cox and Pastor Mark Means. Interment to follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Linda Brown, Dr. Alan Vinitsky and Dr. Heidi Kind-Wolfe for Ramona’s quality of life for the past 10 months.
