Tazewell Clynton Akers

Tazewell Clynton Akers, age 80 of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2011 with his loving family by his side. He was born on October 23, 1930 in Floyd, Va. He was a member of the Seneca Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Clynton Tazewell and Ruby Teel Akers. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Hyatt Akers, Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Dale Alan & Robin Akers, Clay Tazewell Sr. & Kathy Akers, Derrick Ray & Beth Lancaster, Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Hope & Jerry Stump, Becky & Lloyd Horton, Grandsons, Clay Tazewell Akers Jr., Joshua Clinton Akers, Caleb Alan Akers, Aaron Michael Akers, Noah Kyle Akers, Jonathan Milton Akers, Shawn Stump, Granddaughter, Samantha Morris, Sisters & Brother-in-Law, Albertine & Robert Montgomery, Betty Harmon, Two Great Granddaughters, two Great Grandsons, several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and many special friends. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday August 4, 2011 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Collins and Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment to follow in White Rock Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at the funeral home.
