Ruth Ellen Poff
Ruth Ellen Poff, 92 of Floyd, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Alton Poff; sons, Charles William Poff and Billy Monroe Poff; daughter, Lucy Jane Riggins; grandson, George Huston, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Pauline Wood of Floyd; Ethel Marie Clark of Vinton; Mildred Ruth McCullough of Kingsport, TN; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Ann Poff of Willis; brother, James Janney; sister, Beatrice Spreaker; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Billy Monroe Poff officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
