
Faye Ashburn Webb
Faye Ashburn Webb, 95, of Floyd, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord early on November 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, her sweetheart of 52 years, Paul Curtis Webb and her parents, Thomas and Ota Ashburn. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Kelly Patton of Greensboro, NC and Terri and Jack Morris of Floyd, two grandsons, who were the light of her life, and their families also survive. Andrew and Sarah Morris and their children Natalie and Jaxon; David and Kelly Morris and their son Phillip. Faye was a faithful member of the Floyd Baptist Church for 56 years. She loved the church and its people, who were her second family. During her years in Floyd, she was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Woman’s Club, Friends of the Library and a volunteer at Floyd Elementary School. She and Paul owned and operated Floyd Jewelry Shop for 30 years before their retirement in 1985. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 at Maberry Funeral Home on Thursday November 3, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Joseph Womack at Maberry Funeral Home on Friday November 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Paul C. Webb Youth Center, c/o Floyd County Cares, 100 East Main Street, Box 108, Floyd, VA 24091 to continue their dream of a place where youth of the community can meet in a safe, moral and educational environment.
