Charles Gathercole, Jr., Age 79, of Newport, VA, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 60 Years, Ruth Gathercole ; Two Sons and Wives, Charles D. and Rosemary Gathercole, and Donald Ray and Pamela Gathercole; Four Daughters and Husbands, Donna and Steve Downer, Linda and Roger Gillispie, Janice and Gene Dove, and Kathy and Jerry Surface; 17 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dewey Weaver, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Maberry Funeral Home.
