Blanche Semones

Blanche Semones, 91, of Floyd, passed away on October 22, 2008 at Carilion New River Valley Hospital. She was born on May 14, 1917 in Indian Valley, VA. She was preceded in death by Parents: Sherman and Margaret Hollandsworth; Husbands: Lawrence Gardner and Fred Semones; Granddaughter: Carmen Gardner; Five Sisters; and Four Brothers.

Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-law: Thelma and Mike Maloney; Son and Daughter-in-law: Charles and Rev. Beth Gardner; Step-Daughter and Son-in-law: Frankie and Tyler Turner; Grandchildren: Karen and John Skinner, Phillip and Angie Keith, Kristi and Mark Shaw, Sharon Gardner, and Gregory Gardner; Great- Grandchildren: Michael Skinner, Sarah Skinner, Crystal, Brittany, and Thomas Keith; Great-Great-Grandchild: Makayla Collins; Brother-in-law: Hassell and Lula Semones; Sister-in-law: Anita Gardner; and Many Special Nephews and Nieces.

Funeral Services will be at Maberry Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Maberry Funeral Home.
