
Ruth Ann Pettry Dalton
Ruth Ann Pettry Dalton, 68, Willis, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 1, 1942 in Edwight, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Elpha Clay Pettry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Dalton.
Ruth Ann retired from Floyd Garment Co. after many years of service. During her retirement years, Ruth Ann enjoyed her trips to Floyd with her husband Harry every week. The rest of her time was spent o her front porch with family and friends.
Surviving are: Sister and Brother-In-Law, Lafone and Harlis Moles of Floyd, Va; Brother and Sister-In-Law, Jimmy and Brenda Pettry of Potomac, Maryland; Sister-In-Law, Effie Dalton of Christiansburg, Virginia; Nieces and Nephews: Janie and Jimmy Spence, Joyce Howery and Mike Nolen, Charles Moles and Dawn Thompson, Lowell and Nina Dalton, Titus and Glenda Dalton, and Charles Millis; Several Great Nieces and Nephews also survive.
The family wishes to thank friends and neighbors on Horse Ridge Road, Gentiva Home Health, and the Floyd County Rescue Squad Station 4.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Sumpter Cemetery, Indian Valley.
