Herbert Hoover Cox

Herbert H. Cox, 81 of Christiansburg, passed away Monday April 4, 2011.

Born October 31, 1929 to the late Isaac Luther Cox and Necie Hollandsworth Cox.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Ham Cox, Jack W. Cox; Sisters, Mabel Carey and French Hogan.

Survived by his wife of 35 years, Ava B. Cox, Sons, Dennis Cox, Steve Cox, Gary Cox and Rene, Daughters, Debbie Wagenbrenner and Bill Hackler, Patsy Wright, Cheryl Moses and E.J.; sisters, Nettie Duncan, Dorcie Semones, Mary Marshall, 10 grandchildren, Adam, Shane, Dylan, Bradley Cox; Ryan and April, Janna, Jared and Jessica Reeves, Joseph, Patrick, Christopher Moses, 4 great grandchildren, Raeleigh, Avery, Madison, Riley Reeves, sister-in-law, Colleen Cox, daughter-in-law, Cathy Cox; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7th, 2011 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley ‘Shake’ Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Cox Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6th, 2011 at Maberry Funeral Home.
