Donald Jack Quesenberry

Donald “Jack” Quesenberry, our precious husband, father, brother, and uncle, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Thursday morning, September 12, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on November 26, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Ricie Quesenberry, and his younger brother, David Jerry Quesenberry.

Jack served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He retired from Roanoke Electric Steel Mill in 1998, as a foreman in the Rolling Mill. He loved Pier fishing and the beach, gardening, and most of all, helping take care of his dear Mother’s home place in Indian Valley.

Jack is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Linda Smith Quesenberry; his precious daughter and son-in-law, Missy & Quintin Wright of Christiansburg; his “baby” sister and brother-in-law, Shirley & Doug Phillips of Indian Valley; his special nephew, David Phillips, of Blacksburg; special first cousin, Aaron Sutphin; two special friends, Alva Duncan and David Duncan; and many other very close cousins and their families and many other friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd, VA conducted by Rev. Joe Cox and Rev. Richard Kingrea. Visitation will be at Maberry Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery in Indian Valley.
