Cluber Tyler Trail, 86, of Bassett, VA passed away, Friday, December 9, 2011 at home.
He was born September 6, 1925, in Floyd to the late William Harvey Trail & Laura Pearl Trail. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Chester, Eldridge, & Marvin Trail, sisters; Juanita Trail, Odessa Huff, Elsie Cox, Anna Tew, Erma Leftwich, Izola Sutphin, Dorothy Richerson & Pauleda Keith.
He served in the Marine Corp during WWII in Iwo Jima. He attended Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ibra Thomas Trail, daughter, sherry Carroll of Bassett, VA; 3 grandchildren, Hollie Price of Bassett, VA, Brandon Carroll of Collinsville, VA & Jesse Carroll of Axton, 1 great granddaughter, Lacey Carroll, brother; Virgil Trail of Willis, VA, sisters; Neva Ratliff of Floyd, VA, & Verna Radford of New Castle, VA. Special niece Betty Jo & Bill Huff as well as numerous other nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Maberry Funeral Home with Rev. Isaac McDuffie officiating with interment to follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post # 7854 & America Legion Post #127.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends after the service.
